In a world where everything seems to be going wrong, and our
society continues to unravel more every day (due mostly to the greed of the
super rich and the foolishness of the left), it is a pleasant surprise when six
courageous women apply the law and evaluate the evidence to reach a proper
verdict.
Despite the efforts of President Obama and Attorney General
Holder (aided by the corrupt AG in Seminole County), and greatly aided by the
disgraceful and deliberate misreporting by NBC, ABC and the Associated Press in
particular, who doctored tapes and fabricated press reports, a tragic affair
ended as well as it could.
That the efforts by the hateful, professional race baiters, Al
Sharpton (of Tawana Brawley fame) and Jesse Jackson did not result in a
politically inspired conviction is another feather in the caps of these jurors.
We can only sympathize with the loss suffered by Martin’s
parents and quietly set aside their understandable efforts to support their
son.
Restatement of Key Facts:
1. there
had been a string of burglaries at Zimmerman’s complex
2. at
least some of these burglaries had been committed by black youths
3. a
neighborhood watch was established, and Z had volunteered
4. he
legally carried a Keltec, which has no safety, when he patrolled
5. he encountered
a black youth, followed him and called 911
6. the
black youth attacked Z, broke his nose with a punch, and put him on the ground
7. while
over him in an MMA hold, Martin repeatedly slammed Z’s head onto a concrete sidewalk,
stunning him
8. during
the struggle, Z’s pistol and holster came into Martin’s view
9. fearing
for his life, Z pulled out the pistol and fired one shot into Martin’s chest,
killing him
There has been a suggestion that President Obama and AG
Holder will attempt to bring a federal civil rights charge against Zimmerman;
this will be as corrupt as their initial attempts. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail. I will never, for the rest of my life, forget
the unbelievable and prejudicial statement Obama made at the outset – that if
he had a son, he would look like Travon.

I agree with almost everything you stated but one item didn't need to be mentioned- the greedy super rich. We have always had super rich people in America and likely always will. So what? To blame them for being rich serves no purpose. Also, no credit is given to them for the great amount of financial support these people give to benefit all kinds of charity work in the US and around the world.
If you are who I think you are, you have already shown over and over that you just don't get what has been happening in this country, which I went into in great detail with a series of posts on the growing and intolerable disparity in incomes and wealth here.
We live in a country where anyone can achieve wealth (but happiness is more important). There is the same requirement. You set up a goal or goals, you work hard, take some risks, and apply your God given talents. We may not all get wealthy (that's subjective in itself) but we all have equal opportunity to achieve success in our great country. Why don't you get it? Sounds like you have envy for those who achieve wealth. Need to get over your hang up on this and get on with other things that are more important.
I love my country, but you sound like you are 5 years old. Do you think that the steady decline in the anuual wage from 1976 through present day is just bad luck? Do you think the incredible increase in CEO pay is an unfortunate accident? I will keep harping on something that will destroy us if it is not reversed.
I would rather be 5 years old than be an old fart who is very angry with life. I am not wealthy. But I do not envy those who have much more material things. If I did, I guess I would be like you and I don't want to be that person.
This whole Zimmerman trial was blown out of proportion by the news media before it even started. Think about it; If Zimmerman was black and he shot and killed that kid out of self defense would we be hearing about this? Can anyone tell me what a white Hispanic is?
Of course Barack Obama loves this simply because it has provided an excellent smoke screen for him. While everyone is talking about that poor innocent child Travon, all the attention is being directed away from Benghazi and all the other scandals that keep popping up.
I take my hat off to the jurors. They did the right thing but I'll bet you that Obama is going to find a way to keep this going. All he has to do is pick up the phone or have a secret meeting with some of his crooked cronies.
Never a dull moment in Washington DC these days folks. Just wait a while and another scandal will surly pop up.
Obama isn't through trying to get Zimmerman. He has Eric Holder going after him now. Do you know what is so ironic about this? Both Holder and Obama are truly the ones who have blood on there hands from Fast and Furious and Benghazi. Where's the justice for border patrol guard Brian A. Terry, U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, Diplomat Sean Smith, and Navy Seals, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods? According to Obama, these killings can only be described as "bumps in the road." The real murderers are too busy right now trying to keep the Martin Zimmerman trial going, a trial that should never have gone to court in the first place.
The really disgraceful act, which you supported, was the attempt to whitewash the killing without investigation. A boy was killed, and justice demanded that the circumstances under which this happened should be examined thoroughly. While I feel that the verdict was correct, that the state did not prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt, I'm glad that all the evidence was examined.
Neither Obama nor Holder injected himself into this case beyond the presidents truthful comment that if he had a son, that son would look like Trayvon Martin. It is a well-known fact that young black men have, in the past, often been scapegoated by those in authority, particularly in the south. The president and many others didn't want that to happen in this case.
Gee, there is someone else who understands the few superrich are not all evil.
I would except George Soros. Here is a man who is of Jewish heritage but willingly helped send Jews to the holocaust ...
No, just accumulating great wealth is not of itself evil as Russ portends. Income disparity is not the core of the issue.
If there is fair opportunity to achieve wealth then income disparity is not the problem.
Rather it is 'Statism' and 'Socialism' that are the cause of problems.
This issue was addressed in a foreign blog by a Loyala of New Orleans professor. While he addressed the issue in terms of Ukraine, the essence is the same here.
See his posting:

Grasp his esoteric words about 'rent seeking'. Those words are not ordinary English rather those who discuss issue at Ph.D. level.
The real problem is not a few on top of the food chain in USA, rather the burden placed on productive people by blood sucking bureaucrats.
