Desecrating 9/11 and Denigrating Christianity
“We Americans “do not consider ourselves a Christian nation” – “We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.” Barack Obama
As much as I have disagreed with the policies and apparent beliefs of President Obama, I have tried to keep my opposition civil and free from claims that Obama was actually born in Kenya or was a secret Muslim even though I have received hundreds of e-mails attesting to both of these assertions.
My blogs on Obama’s missing birth certificate and the hidden records of his early years and school experiences have focused on the bizarre aspect of his continuing secrecy in these matters. What is he hiding?
Today, however I find myself in a state of such anger over his treatment of the CIA and 9/11, his naming of so many out-of-the-mainstream radicals to his administration – and now, his promotion of everything Muslim while he denigrates Christianity - that I feel I must take another look at claims I used to think were off the wall.
It is obviously no accident that, on September 12, 2001, a prominent member of the Obama Administration (Green Jobs Czar Van Jones) denounced and blamed America for 9/11 and then praised all Muslims.
OBAMA'S PLAN TO DESECRATE 9/11
By Matthew Vadum August 24, 2009 American Spectator (Excerpt)
”The Obama White House is behind a cynical, coldly calculated political effort to erase the meaning of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks from the American psyche and convert Sept. 11 into a day of leftist celebration and statist idolatry.
This effort to reshape the American psyche has nothing to do with healing the nation and everything to do with easing the nation along in the ongoing radical transformation of America that President Obama promised during last year’s election campaign. The president signed into law a measure in April that designated Sept. 11 as a National Day of Service, but it’s not likely many lawmakers thought this meant that day was going to be turned into a celebration of ethanol, carbon emission controls, and radical community organizing.
The administration’s plans were outlined in an Aug. 11 White House-sponsored teleconference call run by Obama ally Lennox Yearwood, president of the Hip Hop Caucus, and Liv Havstad, the group’s senior vice president of strategic partnerships and programs.
Yearwood, who uses the honorific “Reverend” before his name, has been in the news in recent years, usually for getting arrested. After Democrats took back Congress, the rowdy activist was handcuffed outside a congressional hearing in September 2007 when Gen. David Petraeus was to testify. Yearwood told the “Democracy Now” radio program that he wanted to attend the hearing to hear Petraeus give his report. “I knew that when officers lie, soldiers die,” he said.” American Spectator

Obama's Special Ramadan Guest
September 2, 2009 American Spectator
The White House invited an ACLU attorney, who has built a career over the past six years of litigating against the United States in support of terrorists, to an official White House dinner last night to celebrate Ramadan with President Obama.
Jameel Jaffer, who runs the ACLU's "national security project," has filed lawsuits challenging the FBI's "national security letter" authority, the constitutionality of warrantless wiretaps, and has been a leader in pushing for the shut down of Guantánamo Bay, and providing legal rights to terrorists held by the United States overseas in such countries as Iraq and Afghanistan. His efforts enabled the leaking of "torture photos" out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and some sources inside the Central Intelligence Agency believe he was one of the lawyers who provided legal advice to the Department of Justice to pursue an investigation into enhanced interrogation techniques used by the CIA.
Jaffer, a Canadian citizen, was vetted for the dinner by White House staff. His invitation was approved by the White House Counsel's Office, as well as the Office of Political Affairs.
Jaffer also was a lead attorney attempting to have the 2004 visa ban lifted for Tariq Ramadan, who is often identified as a "Swiss Islamic academic." At the time of the controversy, Daniel Pipes wrote about Ramadan:
• [Ramadan] has praised the brutal Islamist policies of the Sudanese politician Hassan Al-Turabi. Mr. Turabi in turn called Mr. Ramadan the "future of Islam.
• Mr. Ramadan was banned from entering France in 1996 on suspicion of having links with an Algerian Islamist who had recently initiated a terrorist campaign in Paris.
• Ahmed Brahim, an Algerian indicted for Al-Qaeda activities, had "routine contacts" with Mr. Ramadan, according to a Spanish judge (Baltasar Garzón) in 1999.
• Djamel Beghal, leader of a group accused of planning to attack the American embassy in Paris, stated in his 2001 trial that he had studied with Mr. Ramadan.
• Along with nearly all Islamists, Mr. Ramadan has denied that there is "any certain proof" that Bin Laden was behind 9/11.
• He publicly refers to the Islamist atrocities of 9/11, Bali, and Madrid as "interventions," minimizing them to the point of near-endorsement.
And here are other reasons, dug up by Jean-Charles Brisard, a former French intelligence officer doing work for some of the 9/11 families, as reported in Le Parisien:
• Intelligence agencies suspect that Mr. Ramadan (along with his brother Hani) coordinated a meeting at the Hôtel Penta in Geneva for Ayman al-Zawahiri, deputy head of Al-Qaeda, and Omar Abdel Rahman, the blind sheikh, now in a Minnesota prison.
• Mr. Ramadan's address appears in a register of Al Taqwa Bank, an organization the State Department accuses of supporting Islamist terrorism.
"Great. Work hard to defend America and get a Department of Justice investigation that could ruin our careers. Work against America and get invited to the White House for dinner with the president," says a current CIA employee. "I can't tell you what kind of a signal this sends to us, not that we needed another one from this administration."
We are dealing with a president and an administration that is out to destroy our industry with a Cap & Trade bill that its sponsors say will result in a reduction in temperature of ¼ degree over the next 100 years.
We are dealing with a president and an administration that is undertaking the imposition of national socialism. It already owns car companies and financial institutions. If it gets healthcare it will control us all.
We are dealing with a president and an administration that is conducting war against whites (the Crowley-Gates affair) and against Christians.
We are dealing with a president and an administration that is out to destroy America.

Another good one, Russ.
I share your reticence to just slam Obama as so many of our ideological friends do, but I also share your criticism with this man and the rogue's gallery of advisers that surround him.
If you read "Hoodwinked" by Jack Cashill and "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Goldberg it becomes quite clear what they are doing: They are continuing the Long March of Progressvism.
One can believe this without casting aspersions and without believing these people are evil. Indeed, many of them think they are doing The Lord's work by taking over government and society to better regulate everything for the ignorant masses.
They seek not to destroy our institutions of capitalism, family, and church, but to get inside them and turn them to their purposes. It's insidious.
I hate to impugn the religious motives of anyone, for I cannot read someone's heart. But what are we to conclude from Obama's 20 year membership in that G*d Damn America church? He says in his book he joined in for political cred or whatever. Religion is just another tool to be used by the movement.
There are hopeful signs that Americans are getting wise to this. The hopium cloud is dissipating, the buzz is wearing off, and reality is sinking in...
I pray we can turn this back.
Russ, as far as Islam helping shape America. Wow, I hafta laugh.
Yeah, actually they did. they helped shape our Navy.
America, little new-born United States of America was the only Western power who had the chutzpah to take on the Barbary pirates.
Tripoli thought we were 'fat ducks', but eventually found out we were 'fierce seahawks', or as one defeated Barbary musselman pirate put it: "Christian dogs fierce and cruel as the tiger, who killed our brothers and burnt our ships before our eyes."
Read the rest of this amazing story of how Islam shaped our country.
You'd think an actual graduate of Harvard might know this.
Rene,
You make a good (and interesting) point, if not overly narrow. I don't think that is what Russ or Obama were referring to, although the Wicked Witch of Foggy Bottom did touch on the subject...
If the average American out there has trouble trying to sort out and comprehend what is going on in the White House by our so called president, Fox News has done a great job at exposing people like his "green jobs Czar" Van Jones, and a few other Obama far Left radical appointees. How much more evidence would one need of the character of this president to refute the age old saying of, "You are who you associate with" and "Birds of a feather flock together?" Is it any wonder why plain ordinary Americans are up in arms and are flocking to these town hall meetings over his health care? These people are not stupid, and they are not astro turf. It just didn't take them long to figure that Obama and his policies are pure poison for this country, and they don't trust him. No one in the news media other than Fox News is questioning obama's Czar's backgrounds, so we need to do it by contacting our Senators and Congressmen and put them on the spot by asking them these questions. This is the only way that it is going to get out there. The Obama Administration is arrogant when confronted with questions that they don't want to answer. His press secretary, Robert Gibbs rarely returns calls and does his little dance when it comes to issues of this nature. Writing or calling the White House is fruitless and a waste of time. They took notice when Sarah Palin wrote about the health care death squads in Facebook, didn't they?
