Hopefully Ralph Nader Will Draw Lots of Flies

I was much encouraged this morning that Ralph Nader has decided to run again for the presidency in 2008. Hopefully he will do again to the Democrats what Ross Perot did to the Republicans in 1992 and 1996. He may be divorced from reality, but he is an effective speaker and will motivate many in the hard left to vote for him. I say divorced from reality because, among other things, he is a proponent of the terrorists in Gaza, ignoring completely the many times the Israelis have been attacked by the surrounding Arabs, because he does not seem to realize that oil is our lifeblood and is running out, and because he does not even seem to recognize that life changed forever on 9/11.

I think that it's great that Ralph has thrown his hat into the ring. Not that I'd vote for him but like you said, he's going to be our "Ross Perot" and screw the Democrats. That's the part that I like, because in this country you can rest assured that their will always be some dumb-bell who will vote for Ralph instead of Osama Hussein Obama.

It's not surprising that Nader supports the Palestinians. He's of Arab descent. His parents were immigrants from Lebanon and Arabic was his first language.

Nader probably won't have much impact, last time he got less than half a percent

It is unfortunate that a man who built his name looking out for consumers....and did a lot of good in that area (although some overkill)....will be remembered as the failed candidate who screwed the democrats and did not know when to let it go....

he is now a bitter man with a huge chip.

If you were to go over to the Middle East and try to tell the difference from an Arab and an Israeli, you'd have a hard time doing so, because all these people basically look the same. The only difference is their mind set. You have one group of people which are made up of trouble-makers along with a small minority of this group who are peaceful and can get along with everyone. Then you have the other group who just want to live in peace and have a democracy much like we have here in America, and are willing to bend over backward for the other group to try to attain it. So I don't buy this bologna about Ralph Nader is an Arab, and because he's an Arab he hates Israelis. Not all Arabs hate Israelis. Some of them live among the Israelis and get along fine with them. Our aim is to preserve peace in the Middle East and we should try to encourage democracy as a way of doing it.
