I like the cartoons also (I particularly like the first one), but I have one critique. The one with ANWR and the strategic reserves appears to imply our reserves are shrinking. It is true that worldwide supply is shrinking, that demand is rising, new oil discovery shrinking, production at peak, and we have a MAJOR problem to deal with...but it is incorrect that our strategic reserve is sinking or declining. It is at it's highest level ever and in fact they are expanding the physical size to increase capacity by some 40%.

Steve, maybe the cartoonist was referring to ordinary oil reserves rather than the put-aside strategic reserve.

good point....I was automatically thinking strategic not regular.
