Fred Thompson on Harry Reid’s attacks on Rush Limbaugh
I’ve been having a hard time trying to decide who to support at this point among Thompson, Giuliani and Romney. I want to support the person who I think can win, can best lead us in our fight to the death with the Islamists and who can best defend himself and our values against the extreme left and their vicious attacks.
Today Fred Thompson convinced me to support him by issuing the following statement:

"Congressional Democrats are trying to divert attention from insulting our military leader in Iraq and pandering to the loony left by attacking Rush Limbaugh. He is one of the strongest supporters of our troops, yet Democrats claim he is not being strong enough. I wonder who General Petraeus and his troops think is most supportive?"

Who really cares what Reid says anyway. Not Fred!
Fred stumbled out of the gate though. Most of the recent publicity is about the failure to meet high expectations (due to his late entry) Many question his sincerity and real desire to actually go the distance.
Well, we are learning a lot more these days about smear attempts. Who are these people trying to cut him off at the knees?
